Five million units shipped in the last 3 months alone.
Rockstar's open-world blockbuster has now shipped 80 million units worldwide, up from 75 million in February. Readers of the weekly UK gaming charts will have noticed GTA 5 sitting in the Top 10 for many months, climbing to No.3 this week.
During Take-Two's latest earnings report, CEO Strauss Zelnick said Grand Theft Auto 5 sales "outperformed expectations during the fourth quarter as they have in every period since they released."
Zelnick also commented on the on-going success of GTA Online, which continues to see more and more money come in from dedicated players, with Rockstar planning "much more" content for fans to sink their teeth into.
Rockstar's next release, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been delayed until 2018.
